About Norris McCrary Ministries

Norris McCrary Ministries is a six-month faith-based rehabilitation program designed to guide individuals on their journey to a brighter future. This program is focused on spiritual growth and work readiness, with the understanding that long-term change begins from within. While the program duration may vary depending on the judge’s orders, participants are given the necessary support to transform their lives through faith and hard work.

Each participant will be provided with essential resources to help them get started, including food stamps and outpatient housing. The program ensures that individuals are prepared for the workforce by providing jobs that align with their goals. To support their journey, participants are allowed 10 pairs of pants, 10 shirts, undergarments, and four pairs of socks and shoes or boots. A phone will be issued when the individual has proven they can use it responsibly.

Financial independence is encouraged, (when phone privileges are given) but there are strict guidelines in place to ensure the money earned is spent wisely. Participants will be able to keep and manage their own earnings, but funds must be used solely for their needs and personal goals. Pleasure spending or family-related expenses are not permitted until the individual has achieved personal stability and spiritual growth through Christ.

A $500 intake fee is required before arrival, and once work begins, participants must contribute a weekly fee of $125. This ensures that individuals are working both physically and spiritually towards their personal recovery. Everyone in the program will set clear priorities and goals, working toward achieving one goal at a time before moving on to the next phase of their life.

At Norris McCrary Ministries, we maintain a strong focus on discipline and respect. The program has strict policies prohibiting vaping, drugs, and fighting, and participants are expected to maintain a grateful attitude at all times. Our mission is to help individuals understand that their stay is temporary, with the ultimate goal of finding God’s guidance and freedom from the struggles that have held them back.

During the program, we will guide participants in decision-making until they are capable of thinking for themselves. All visits and passes must be approved by the staff to ensure the best possible environment for recovery. We are here to support you, and most importantly, God is here for you.

Our church is located on Jackson Road in Morris, AL, and our faith-based rehabilitation program is situated just two blocks down the street, nestled in the woods atop a hill. The facility is modeled after the Foundry Rehabilitation Center in Birmingham. We have experienced steady growth over the past five years.
